After Marvel Studios made box office hits, starting in 2008 when the first Iron Man movie was released and The Incredible Hulk a few months after that till last year when Thor and Captain America both came out. It eventually lead into this: The Avengers and believe all the hype; the movie is awesome and for me, it is the first great film of 2012!!After Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson made some cameo appearances in those mentioned movies, he gathered them all with his group S.H.I.E.L.D, a global peacekeeping agency when the world is threatened by a force far superior than what earth has ever known.
Robert Downey Jr. is his usual suave self as Tony Stark or Iron Man. Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow has more exposure in this film than her first appearance in the Iron Man sequel and so Jeremy Renner in hs uncredited role in Thor.Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans continue to be pitch perfect in their now trademark roles as Thor and Captain America respectively.
Seeing Iron Man, The Hulk, Captain America, Thor plus Black Widow and Hawkeye together on one screen is every film and comic book buff's dream and for two hours and twenty minutes, it is genuine entertainment for people of all ages.
